Draped in moon shadow

Picasso's The Tragedy

Draped in moon shadow, dressed in a tailored sorrow
There is a weight to the asphyxiating air
Heavy-laden with a diaphanous vapors
Hardened by a lingering soft touch

They stand together but are too much alone
Heads bowed in both quiet faith and surrender
Despair is seldom as sweet as when her sounds are spoken in memories
Fractured hearts can little support slumping shoulders
Darkened eyes laid to the ground obscuring view

Even after souls disappear, hopes and curses remain
Neither the angels in a broken heaven
Nor the wretches held deep in the brooding sea
Can ever sever a loved soul's eternal memory

A Reluctant Wanderer Above the Sea of Fog

A Reluctant Wanderer Above the Sea of Fog

"What is your favorite part of me?"
She commands. Smiling with a knowing might
With zealous eyes
Wide brown eyes that are my only light

Should I detail her hairs one by one and praise them?
No, not I!
I love how uncompounded things are to meant to loved
Subdued  and  in secret
Without knowing how, when, or from where
Her rivers, her borders, her eternity have become everything
Time, rain, and sand
With bitter certainty I love her because I know no other way
I despise how she has tied me to this purer emotion

With the ease of a swan drifting on shadows and silent waters
Lacking Neruda's grace
Helplessly and with empty air I utter
"Your lovely face"

Common cold delirium

This stale air sedates and my chest burns
I can't keep my thoughts...
The War, I feel in me.

White round rocks in a brown vials
Laid beside this drenched doorway into other worlds
Where you are me, I am you and I am He

Lava saunters through my veins
A native-born catastrophe
Come close and feel this sinner's rapturous heat

I am gone and it is showing all over my skin
What do feed me bitter dreams for?
I hate these blurred lines.

I have fell too far,
Tumbling into the deep
And I can't come up for air

Please...

Take from me
