Ella Tiene Fiebre (She has a fever/ She is on "fire")

Ella tiene fiebre, is what they say
When the soul begins to molt,
            providing weakness with a life
When the soul portrays new meaning,
            to the description of strife

Ella tiene fiebre, is when they know
That turning back would be too late,
            allowing the pain to unfold
That the matter could not be resolved,
without letting misery take its toll

Ella tiene fiebre, is how they think
            When adversity meets its match,
             unraveling disparities to attest,
            When a light causes harm,
             than darkness at its finest

Ella tiene fiebre, is why they give
            That tincture called "love",
to quiet new tones to stone
            That vital irreproducible fix,
            creating memories to bone....

This made me think of the concept that weakness and struggle are often the catalysts that help us find our strength and persevere. It was your description of fever as illness and this burning that propels us forward to fight back, to get up, to overcome. I really liked that parallel.

The repetition of "Ella tiene fiebre" is almost hypnotic, gaining intensity with each stanza. "Creating memories to bone" is also an interesting turn of phrase, making me think of the exact opposite implementation of the same concept of saving a file to a hard drive, in the sense that the memory is being saved to a bone, symbolically the most organic, natural counterexample possible to technology.

Excellent!!! I agree with Cina. The repetition of the phrase "Ella Tiene Fiebre," is, how did that one poet say last week, "Incantatory!" Masterful work
