Pamela Pristine

steely curves still solid
strong
an older model
they don't make them like they used to
but you've always been a pretty kettle
i aspire to perspire like
moisture diamond studded metal
jewels that disappeared
silence
you don't ask after them
inconsequential droplets
when there is a sea within
i thought your warmth overbearing
before i understood
you were under fire
or over it
and i wonder how you withstood
isn't it unbearably warm
doesn't it get hot
over the oven
where i can always find you
making interminable cups of tea
tea and tea within you and without
but we never seem to leave you
under pressure
over high heat
boiling
and you never shriek
just a modest whistle
that you've had enough

Sooo gooood Tejus!
"I aspire to perspire"
"boiling and you never shriek"
I love the emotional turmoil and frustration that you skillfully fill with tenderness and affection! The poem feels like it's about to boil over but just "whistles" and "enough".
