habibi

Marfan's hands (i cross my fingers that this is in fact just a joke)
fingers intertwined with my own hands (small hands for my height)
generating, foreshadowing the heat of the Egyptian deserts he will be visiting in the months to come.
"when do i see you again?" i hesitate, breaking the silence, addressing the larger hands cupping my own.
his thoughts already trans-atlantic, he absentmindedly mumbles something about befriending bedouins.

Lena, you have such a special way of combining bittersweet with humor. I like this very much.
